3-Day Fes to Marrakech desert Tour/ Moroccan adventure
Our driver and guide was the same person, Ahmed. He was very friendly and accommodating, picking us up from our Fes Riad. We did a 3-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, where he contacted our second riad to arrange for a pickup.
Overall, the tour was very positive. Jama had a set itinerary but also gave us the flexibility to see things we wanted to see or spend/less time in certain areas. He helped me practice my French and consistently answered my constant questions about small things I’d see or notice. We hit town by town and we had lunch at some good restaurants. Be aware that it seems as if a lot of these companies will drop you off at the same restaurant – from town to town you’ll see the same group or person that you saw at the last town restaurant. It is always your option to go elsewhere.
When we got to the Merzouga desert, our camels were ready, and when we arrived at the tent, so was our lodging. The tent had all the amenities of a first-world hotel. The food was also good and served in a restaurant setting. Berber music was good too, although they tried hard to get participation from a mostly tired Western group to dance and play their instruments – most people clearly were not interested as it was already very late.
The second night we were put up in a luxury hotel in the Dades Valley which was also a beautiful city,. Delicious breakfast and dinner with a massage/hammam/spa. There is even a bar and tennis court and beautiful views from the pool.
Ahmed did a great explaining the Moroccan culture and history of major landmarks and what to see. He was never bothered by constant questions and let it be quiet on the car ride if you needed to sleep or rest.

Amazing 3 day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech
We just wrapped up an amazing 3-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech with our tour guide, Hamid. From the prompt pick up at our tucked away riad in Fes to the drop off in Marrakech, Hamid was a welcoming and knowledgeable driver — offering great historical and cultural info along the journey. We had nice panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and we stopped at Tizi n’Tichka.
In addition to the big attractions, the trip brought us through small towns we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Our hotel at Boumalne Dades Valley on night one (Perle du Dades) was lovely and comfortable, with a great delicious dinner and service and a big change of scenery from the hustle of Marrakech.
The highlight of our three-day tour was the night in the Sahara desert camp. The camel ride through the sand dunes with the camel guide Mustapha was gorgeous and peaceful. The camp is stunning with very attentive staff and more food than you could possibly eat. The private bathrooms with hot showers and an endless supply of drinking water were both nice touches. Comfortable Sahara desert camp.
At the end of the trip, Hamid went above and beyond to make sure we were settled at our riad in Marrakech, calling ahead to have someone help us with our luggage, offering restaurant recommendations, and even helping us get bus tickets for the next leg of our journey. Hamid has also Said that there are possibilities of doing a Marrakech desert trip and a Marrakech desert tour that starts from Marrakech.
We highly recommend Begaatours and Hamid!

Best Marrakech desert tour from Fes
My friend and I just finished a fantastic three-day tour from Fes to Marrakech with Omar. He was an open, energetic, and knowledgeable driver. It felt like we saw so many things in a short time! The trip was well planned, with a number of beautiful vistas and informational stops along the way to break up the drive. The night in Merzouga Sahara and camel riding was a real highlight – the sunset in the dunes especially. The campsite was super comfortable with nice amenities and friendly, warm hosts.
Omar was incredibly accommodating, offering to give us a day trip to Chefchaouen the day after our trip since he was heading in that direction. He also spoke on the phone with our Riad hosts at each destination, making sure we got to our next places successfully!
The only recommendation we have is to bring some snacks for the road. The stretch between breakfast and time for lunch can get a little long, so you may want something small to tide you over.
Would highly recommend this Sahara desert trip to anyone — even encouraging my family to try it next spring!

Incredible Experience of 3-day fes to Marrakech
We did the 3 day Sahara desert tour from Fes to the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech. We opted for the luxury tour with a private driver, and this was an AMAZING trip. A friend who did this with Begaa Tours recommended the company to me and no regrets! Our private driver Ibrahim was fantastic; accommodating, knowledgeable, has a sense of humor, and importantly, a safe driver. He was a wealth of knowledge, took us off the beaten path, and ensured we were well taken care of. The food was exceptional, the service was great, and the desert night was a trip of a lifetime. The desert camp was so luxurious, it’s truly something else. 10/10. Will be using Begaa Tours for my next trip to Morocco as well.
