Our 5 day trip from Marrakech to Fes starts with a pick-up at the hotel or riad. We will head towards the High Atlas, this mountain range has the highest altitudes around North Africa with 4,167 m. Furthermore, we will stop at Tizi N’Tichka pass higher than 2260 high.
After that heading to visit Kasbah Telouet a beautiful fall building of the Thami El Glaoui family. We will continue to the fortified village called Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1987, where various famous movies have been made as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy.
Lastly, we will arrive in Ouarzazate where the cinema studios in Morocco are. You will have dinner and spend the night in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we will spend the morning seeing the film studios where many films are taxed as “The Wars”, “The Mummy”, “Gladiator”…etc. Later we will depart to the Kasbah of Taourirt, a World Heritage Site.
Then we will continue down the road of Thousand Kasbash, through the great palm trees of Skoura, accompanied by hundreds of Kasbash that we will see along the way. Let’s enter the Dades gorges and we will admire the hundreds of kasbahs dotted along the route. We may stop at the 17th century Amridil Kasbah for a photo.
We will continue on the river road entering the rose valley. We will make a stop at the impressive formation often referred to as the monkey fingers. Here you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, we will depart through Todra Gorges, to the vast palm grove of Tineghir, where agriculture stands out, date palms, crafts…etc! Later we will arrive at the Todgha Gorges. Here we can see the stunning landscape that for thousands of years has been forged thanks to the river that crosses it.
Then we will drive to Merzouga desert, where will you be welcomed with a cup of mint tea and relax for a while, however, the best journey is going to start by riding the camels in the middle of the Sahara desert to watching and taking great shoots of the magical sunset, arrive to the camp to wander around and have dinner at the Berber desert camp/ luxury camp, later you will hear the drums and Berber songs echoing in the desert night and lie down in the tent.

The fourth day of our 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes will be a day trip to discover the Moroccan desert. Early morning in your luxury camp we will wake up early to watch the sunrise in the luxury camp. After breakfast and shower, we will start exploring the desert region by visiting nomadic families who still living at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes and sharing the secrets of their lifestyle.
Our desert excursion will continue to the Mascara mine of M’FIS located at the Low Atlas Mountains, then the beautiful panoramic view of the sand dunes. Drive to Khamlia village to listen to other kinds of Moroccan songs that are originally from Sudan and Mali, lunch will be at the same village with traditional Berber Pizza.
After lunch, we leave to see Hassi Labied oasis in the desert and transfer to the Hotel next to the dunes. Free afternoon on your own at the hotel to relax and before sunset, you can wander around, a delicious dinner and breakfast at the hotel.

Our last day of the 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes will be starting from your Hotel after a good shower and a good breakfast. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains onto the north, a quick stop at the Ziz Valley, we will see what the river has built for thousands of years eroding the rock and leading to large palms and mud villages.

Our incredible Morocco tour from Marrakech to the Fes desert is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave you with lasting memories. Over 5 days, you will embark on a journey through the stunning landscapes of Morocco, immersing yourself in its rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking natural wonders.
We found BegaaTours as we tried to come up with options for a 5 day road trip from Marrakech to Fes. We made our own arrangements for the cities but didn’t want to drive and figured it would be nice to have the benefit of a local driver who could also act as our guide for the duration of the trip.
From the moment we met Ahmed from Rough Tours in Fez, we knew we made the right choice. He was funny, spoke excellent English, and was a knowledgeable driver about Morocco in general and desert areas south and west of Merzouga in particular. The tour was well organized and Ahmed was very attentive to our needs. When I casually mentioned that it would be interesting to see how the date palm oasis, one of many we encountered on our way south from Marrakech, looks “from inside”, Ahmed quickly arranged for us to access it, and in a few minutes, we were walking under the trees and listening to an impromptu lesson on date palm pollination and irrigation. Driving through Todra valley and spending the night in Boumalne dades valley
We rode camels in the dunes and experienced firsthand Berber hospitality and kindness in Begaa, a nomad village near the Algerian border, where we tried some medicinal herbs from the desert for a minor health issue. We also used Begaa Tours (and Ahmed) for a great day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira on Morocco’s Atlantic coast.
