Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga
Our 5 Days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech will start from your Riad at 8:00 am. Therefore, you will travel through the middle Atlas via Ifran “Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou. We will stop at the cedar forest and see Barbary apes. From here we drive further south passing by Timhdit and Zaida.
Our next stop is in Midelt for lunch. Later on, we continue our drive by crossing the Tizi N'Talghomt Pass (1907m) while enjoying the panoramic views. We then have a break in Ziz Valley to see the most impressive and longest valley in Morocco.
Our journey continues to Merzouga via Erfoud through the oasis of Tafilalet. Eventually, we reach in the afternoon and check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Visit Merzouga area and the Camel Trek
After breakfast in the hotel, you will start an explorative journey of the area; you will visit the nomads in their goat-hair tent and learn about the desert life, afterward, you visit the Gnaoua people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, here you will have the opportunity to listen to their music and learn about their culture and lifestyle. Depending on what time of year you visit, you may have a visit to the lake of Merzouga and its bird population such as the “Flamingos”.
After a delicious Berber pizza, we will drive to the hotel for relaxing. Then, you will get ready to ride the camels to the desert camp, you will enjoy the beauty of the Sahara desert and the sunset over the golden dunes. After the sunset, you will enjoy your dinner in front of the camp where you will spend the night under the stars in a private tent.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Tinghir - Dades Valley
Today is the highlight of 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. Early morning you wake up to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dunes in the Sahara desert, then have your breakfast and shower. After that, you ride the camels back to the hotel. We depart towards Tineghir passing by Erfoud and Tinghir. Have a break for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra Gorges. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrive at Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot, and finally arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night in the hotel.
Day 4: Dades Valley - Skoura - Roses Valley - Ouarzazate
This morning after breakfast in the hotel, We depart to Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stopping for a panoramic view of Dades valley then another photo stop near the Dades gorges.
After that, we will continue through Dades Valley until the Kasbah of Ait Youl, the track road crossing rose valley with its Kasbah and ksours, in this part you can see very nice landscapes before you get to Kalla Mgouna. Lunch on the way, afternoon departure to the Palme groves of Skoura, and visit of the Kasbah of Amredile then we continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate after visiting the Atlas studios. Thereafter, we drive for 30 mins to the Majestic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Here, we will explore the kasbah with fascinating views where they shoot many movies like Game of Thrones, Gladiator...etc!
After lunch in the kasbah, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizi N'Tichka 2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains, and many Berber villages nearby. Then, Arriving at Marrakech in the evening. Drop off at your Marrakech riad/hotel, where the 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech ends.

The Best Morocco Tour!!
Begaa Tours tailored our amazing 14 day tour of Morocco to suit our personal travel style. They included hotel, riad and camping options to cater to our preferred accommodation type and organised transport to suit our small group of 8 (2 X 4WD Toyota Prados) Our two tour guides, Ahmed and Muhammad, were so professional, knowledgeable, willing and able. Nothing was too much trouble for them to handle or fix at any time. They both had friendly personalities with big smiles on their faces and great senses of humour to boot. Begaa Tours Moroccan experience
This was an excellent experience with great tour guides looking at all the excellent places in Morocco. The accomodation was great, from Riads in the old cities to desert tents and more modern accomodation.
Both Ahmed & Mohammed were full of knowledge, and accomodating of our needs. The Camel ride in the Desert was an experience as well, from sand storms, to rain and clear skies the next morning. I would recommend Begaa Tours, and definitely do it again
NO BETTER WAY TO SEE MOROCCO
Our unbelievable 14 days with Begaa Tours in Morocco started in Casablanca and finished in Marrakech travelling through Rabbat, Meknes, Chefchaouen the blue city and onto Fes with 2 days to explore this amazing ancient city. Moving on to the Ziz Valley near Aoufous, we stayed in a beautiful hotel overlooking the date palm hub of Morocco. Our 2 hr guided walk with Said through the local farming plots under the date palms was a fantastic way to witness the day to day life of the village families working their farming plots. On our arrival at Et Taous the camels were waiting to begin our 1 1/2 hour afternoon trek into the Sahara Desert at sunset for our amazing overnight 'glamping experience'...wow this tour is amazing! The breathtaking drive over the High Atlas Mountains heading through Marrakech en route to the coastal city of Essaouira for a relaxing day and last minute shopping.
Another family member had previously travelled with Begaa Tours on 2 other occasions and had assured us of the high standard they deliver.
